Why it is so important to smile?

There are countless studies confirming that a genuine smile is considered particularly attractive and that the act of smiling or laughing also lifts the mood of the people around you.
Above all, studies have shown that just the act of smiling (creating physical facial shapes and movements), whether the result of genuine joy or an act, can have both short-term and long-term benefits on people's health and well-being.
Smiling not only improves mood but also helps our bodies release cortisol and endorphins that offer numerous health benefits, including:
- Reduced blood pressure
- Increased physical endurance
- Reduction of physical and moral pain
- Stress reduction
- Strengthening of the immune system
Furthermore, studies show that people who smile appear more pleasant, courteous and competent. Smiling people tend to be more productive at work. Laughter and smiling have a very strong communication purpose, allow us to socialise better with others and to be happily in a group, so we should smile as much as possible especially in complicated moments.
Being able to smile and laugh freely disposes the individual to be more open and sociable, to feel more at ease. On the contrary, being ashamed of one's mouth makes people less disposed to interpersonal relationships, social life, and in general creates states of discomfort and frustration.
Just stop and think, we have probably all known people who cover their mouths when they laugh or smile: this is a very obvious sign of discomfort.
Take care of your smile and freely express the thunderous power of laughter!
